  • 2013

    2013 also took forward the success and good work done by WBG in 2012.

    STP - 30 MLD successfully commissioned at HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Authority). O&M for the plant have commenced for period of three years.

    Secured order from NTPC for water treatment plant package for Kudgi STPP (3 x 800 MW).The integrated treatment system comprises of raw water treatment, demineralization for boiler feed, effluent treatment plant & cooling water treatment system.

    Secured order from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. for raw water treatment system (2 x 1800 m3/hr) for Integrated Refinery Expansion Project, Kochi. EIL is PMC for the project.

  • 2012

    2012 also has been an important and eventful year for WBG, since it

    Secured order for 100,000 M3/Day (100 MLD) capacity Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) at Dhanwapur for Gurgaon city within National Capital Region (NC R). Biogas generated from the STP will be used for Power generation as part of the Project scope. The STP facility will comprise Tertiary treatment plant to ensure improved water quality for non-potable use in the neighboring areas.

    Secured order for Effluent Recycling System (ERS) from Aravali Power Company Pvt. Ltd, a JV between National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Haryana Power Generation Company Ltd (HPGCL) and Indraprastha Power Generation Company Ltd (IPGC L) for their 3 x 500 MW Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Plant at Jhajjar, Haryana (near Delhi). The ERS comprises treatment and recycle of Waste water streams of the Power plant for Cooling Tower make-up water through state-of-the-art Ultrafiltration (UF) cum Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant.

    Supplied first 'Combi' unit of 2meter width to ITC, Bhadrachalam. This unit comprises Gravity Belt Thickener (GBT) cum Belt Filter Press (BFP) for thickening & dewatering of slurry emanating from Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).

    Secured order from GAIL (India) Ltd for DM Water plant & Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU) for GAIL Petrochemical Complex-II at PATA, Uttar Pradesh (UP). M/s Engineers India Ltd (EIL) is the PMC for the job. The DM Water plant will meet expanded plant capacity requirement whereas CPU will treat condensate from various process units.

    Successfully commissioned STP - 20 MLD and commenced O&M at HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority).

  • 2011

    After a successful 2010, 2011 opened gates to newer and better opportunities with WBG:

    Securing order for Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Effluent Treatment plant for 2 x 600 MW Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant for Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd (HPGC L). This ZLD plant comprises treatment & recycle of waste water streams from DM Water plant regeneration waste, power plant waste and cooling tower blow-down for reuse into Cooling Tower system. This job has been awarded as Best Water Efficient Project by UNESCO/PHDCCI/WD Foundation.

    Securing order for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for Monnet Power Company Ltd for their 2 x 525 MW Thermal Power Plant at Angul, Orrissa. The WTP comprises Raw Water treatment and DM Water plant with UF system for Boiler feed water needs of the Power plant.

  • 2010

    And the legacy of good work and success continued in 2010, when WBG

    Successfully commissioned and put in operation the Sea Water RO Desalination Plant of 16.2 MLD (Largest in Power Industry in India as on date), at Udupi Power Corp Ltd. This project has also been awarded as "Desalination Project of the Year" by UNESCO/PHDCCI/Water Digest for year 2010.

    Secured a Zero Liquid Discharge Project, of treating waste water influent through tertiary recycling to High Purity system, thereby reducing the fresh water intake for DM Plant (Boiler Feed Water), for a 2 x 300 MW Thermal Power Plant coming up in Maharashtra for M/s GMR Energy Ltd. The project involves State of the Art process scheme involving raw water treatment, power plant effluent recycling to generate Boiler feed Quality water and RO/MB based DM plant. This project has been awarded as "The Best Water Efficient Project" & Distinguish Project of the Year – Industrial" by UNESCO/PHDCCI/Water Digest for the year 2010.

    Secured 149 MLD Water Treatment plant for Drinking water for Taj City of Agra from UP Jal Nigam involving advanced treatment scheme combining Moving Bed Bio reactor (MBBR) followed by Ultra filtration(UF) membrane system. This will be largest MBBR plant. The UF installation will be the largest in India for surface water treatment. This project has been awarded as "The Best Water Treatment Project – Domestic" by UNESCO/PHDCCI/Water Digest for year 2010.

    Was awarded 'Growth Excellence Award' by Frost & Sullivan for Indian Water & Waste Water Industry for outperforming the industry CAGR over the last 5 years until year 2010.

  • 2009

    2009 too was an year of wonderful happenings that brought good news and business on board. WBG

    Secured Boiler Feed water treatment plant for 6 x 135 MW TPP for JSPL for their Angul (Orissa) involving 2 x 445 m3/hr UF/RO system along with 5 x 220 m3/hr Mixed Bed polishing system. The job also involved 3 x 2600 m3/hr Pretreatment system through High Rate Solid Contact Clarifiers, besides Side Stream Filtration system for the cooling water system.

    Secured 30 MLD Sewage treatment plant for UP Jal Nigam, Ghaziabad (Loni) involving MBBR technology

    Secured Boiler Feed water treatment plant for 1x108 MW CCPP for NDPL (Tata group), Delhi based on Effluent Recycling from the secondary sewage from a Delhi STP utilizing state of the art process scheme involving MBBR--Clarifier--UF--RO--MB handling 350 m3/hr feed.

  • 2008

    2008 was an eventful year with some major things happening and bringing success on board. WBG

    Commissioned its first fully automated DM/UF based boiler feed water treatment plant of 201 m3/hr installed capacity for LANCO Infratech Ltd. for their 2 × 600 MW power plant at Amarkantak TPP, Korba, Chhattisgarh.

    Secured the largest order for the process equipment package for 240 MLD capacity for STP at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

    Secured the largest Ultra Filtration job in the country involving tertiary filtration for 20 MLD STP for Hyderabad city under Hussain Sagar lake improvement programme.

    Secured waste water treatment system for UPCL at Udupi, Karnataka and thus covering the entire water management system for 2 × 600 MW TPP.

  • 2007

    This year embarked another major success when WBG secured the largest Sea Water RO (including PT) based Boiler feed water treatment plant for 2 × 600 MW TPP at Udupi, Karnataka of UPCL (LANCO Group).

    Also in the same year the company secured the order for effluent recycling system for Giral Thermal Power Plant of 2 x 125 MW capacity lignite based TPP including 3 x 100 m3 /hr UF/RO system.

  • 2006

    WBG commissioned first RO/MB based Boiler Feed Water treatment plant for Indo Rama Group for 102 m3 /hr capacity along with UF based pre-treatment system of 135 m3 /hr.

  • 2005

    WBG added another feather to its hat by successfully installing the first EDI job with multi-pass RO in Indian market for Boiler Feed Water Treatment System of 85 m3/hr capacity for Khatauli Cogen Plant.

  • 2004

    WBG signed the Agreement with US Filter (part of Siemens Group) for a large range of Water & Waste water Treatment Equipment & Technologies for high-end Indian market.

  • 2002

    WBG celebrated the successful completion of its first Common Effluent Treatment Plant of 12 MLD capacity, designed and installed for Mayapuri Industrial Estate, Delhi.

  • 1999

    WBG crossed another landmark by installing successfully the largest Oil Water Separation system for Reliance Petroleum, Jamnagar.

  • 1997

    Completion of WBG's first Water Treatment Plant of 144 MLD capacity, also constructed on turnkey basis for U.P. Jal Nigam, Agra under World Bank financing.

  • 1992

    Completion of WBG's first Sewage Treatment Plant of 45 MLD capacity,, constructed on turnkey basis for Delhi city.

  • 1988

    WBG successfully installed one of the largest Waste Water Treatment Plant in India. The capacity of the plant is 182 MLD and was constructed on turnkey basis for Vizag Steel Plant.

  • 1987

    WBG signed exclusive license agreement with Envirex, USA (now part of Siemens Group) for manufacturing of water and waste water treatment equipment.

  • 1984

    WBG secured the first order for waste water treatment plant from Ordinance Factory, Itarsi.
