The freedom to work and a positive culture helped me to develop myself and hone my skills.
"A lot can change in a quarter of a century in life and in the world, but what hasn't changed is my devotion to Triveni."
As part of the Triveni family, I have been instrumental in resolving many challenges and have also received several learning opportunities that have resulted in my growth at the Company. I joined Triveni as a Deputy Manager in 1997 at the Deoband Unit, and within a year, the Company gave me the opportunity to be involved in all matters related to cane quality and control. The freedom to work and a positive culture helped me to develop myself and hone my skills. The Company also encouraged me to upgrade my skills and helped me pursue the Management Development Program on "Basic Leadership Skills" at XLRI, Jamshedpur.
My learnings from XLRI helped me identify shortcomings and challenges to enhance the high-sugared variety at Deoband, which ultimately improved sugar recovery. I was also able to develop good relations with the farmers. I received appreciation from the top management for this initiative. One of the challenges I faced during my tenure was curtailing overhead expenses. In order to address this, I reduced logistics expenses and helped to develop a harmonious relationship between the farmers and the sugar mill.
This was appreciated by the Company, leading to my promotion as DGM (Cane) and Head of the Department in the year 2004. The Company had faith and confidence in my calibre, because of which I was given the opportunity to look after the sugarcane department at the Khatauli Sugar Unit in the year 2008, and to my delight, I was offered the position of General Manager (Cane Quality and Control) in the year 2011 at Khatauli. Further, the Company chose me to work in a higher role as the Unit Head of the Milak Narayanpur Unit in 2018. The last 25 years at Triveni have moulded me into the professional I always aspired to become. If these years are anything to go by, I cannot wait for what this journey brings me next.
