Mechanical Aerator

Mechanical surface aerators facilitate dissolution of air into wastewater by vigorously stirring up the water in its contact. These are classified into two categories according to speed of rotation of the impeller, namely, low-speed mechanical surface aerators and high-speed mechanical surface aerators.

Mechanical Aerator

Our competency lies in low-speed mechanical surface Aerators upto 100 HP size and above. We develop surface aerators that ensure continuous trouble free operation with minimum maintenance.

Motor, gear box and impeller are the major integral components of surface aerators. Though these come combined, for maintenance purpose these can be separated. The Radial / Axial impeller design enhances mixing of deeper tank without draft tube and reduces shock loads transmitted to drive unit due to wave action. These units can be provided with auxiliary components like mist deflectors to prevent mist on the bridge and basin baffles to prevent vortexing. Our product design permits adjustment of impeller submergence on a large range.

We provide mechanical surface aerator units in carbon steel construction or stainless steel construction as per the client's requirement. These units can also be offered in fixed and floating aeration options. In floating aeration, the device is supported on three floating pontoons which are interconnected through a steel frame forming floating platform around the aerator.
