Trans-organizational strategic
alliances for technological cooperation configure the market-based firm
performance in terms of sales growth, market share, market development
and product development.
Triveni shared its vision for technology with Peter Brotherhood
of UK about 30 years ago. Through this collaboration we manufactured all
models of Peter Brotherhood turbines upto 6 MW in India and
supplied them to various industry sectors. With the expansion of
activities, we entered into a joint venture with Alstom of France namely
GEC-Alstom Triveni Ltd in 1991 to manufacture larger
Turbines beyond 6 MW. This joint venture continued till 1998. Through
this joint venture we could manufacture bigger turbines upto 30 MW.
Recently, we have signed MOU with
SKODA Energo of Czech Republic for marketing and system integration &
packaging steam turbine generator-sets in India and in few Asian
countries upto 50 MW capacity.
We also have a technical tie up with Waukesha Engine, Division of
Dresser, Inc. U.S.A. to manufacture gas engines from 1- 3 MW. We are
also associated with the renowned research institutions in India like:
Indian Institute of Science for high efficiency blading.
For further technological developments, we plan to collaborate with
world renowned institutions like: Impact Technology USA (a
technological center for development steam turbine blading) to design &
develop and also integrate the latest technology of steam turbine with
our product range.
Through these technical collaborations we are able to integrate the
latest technology in steam turbine in our infrastructural set up which
is at par with the European manufactures.
