Boiler Operation & Air Pollution Control
For the generation of 237 tons of steam per hour, the unit is operating total 6 nos. of boilers, all fitted with air pollution control device "Multi-Cyclone". These Multi-Cyclones, installed way back in early 90s, are working quite efficiently & giving more than 95% reduction in SPM level of boiler flue gases .

Wet Scrubbing of Flue Gases
TEIL, Khatauli has always been the harbinger of new technologies. The new efforts put in the Air Pollution Control & expenditure of Rs. 65,00,000 (Sixty-five lacs) resulted in replacement of already existing multi-cyclones by new "Wet Scrubber" system. This system provides for the scrubbing of flue gases by water. The system has been designed to reduce the flue gases SPM load of 6000 PPM to as low as 150 PPM, further more the water used (198 m³/hr) after a three stage clarification will be reclaimed in underground sump & recycled back to system.
