To make best use of the treated effluents during 1994 to 1997 "Sugar unit - Khatauli has made an expenditure of over then Rupee 1000000/- (Ten Lakh). Adjacent to the effluent treatment plant The "Unit" also owns 34 acres of farmland. Through 2 Km long hume pipes line laid across the entire farm and social forestry covering over 34 acres, treated effluents from ETP & STP after having been evaluated for ferti-irrigation is used on the farm and un social forestry.

(Irrigation water quality evaluation standards fixed by CPCB & CBWG)
(*SAR - Sodium Absorption Ratio, *RSC - Residual Sodium Carbonate)

In case either parameter not matching the standards of the irrigational water quality, laid down by "Central Ground Water Board" & "Central Pollution Control Board" treated effluents by the help of a 1.6-Km long cemented channel is taken to a Nala & finally discharged to canal called locally "Nagin Nadhi".
