Overview
Triveni's sugar factory at Chandanpur began operations in December 2006 with a crushing capacity of 6000 TCD. The unit is located in the Distt. of J.P. Nagar. The plant has been designed to have expansions upto 7500 TCD depending upon the cane availability. This plant had been set up using modern energy efficient equipments & devices with automated operation & control so as to have steam consumption to the level which is best in the industry.

Factory has about 10874 hectare cane area and deals with over 28063 farmers to meet its requirement of sugar cane. Apart from the cane purchased at the factory gate, balance cane is procured from 34 cane purchase out-centres. The cane department of the plant has excelled in the management and operation of the cane out-centres.

Technology
The factory had been set up using modern equipment designed in collaboration of Sugar Research International of Australia like Continuous Vacuum Pan for energy (steam & power) efficiency & SRI Tray less clarifier for juice clarification is taken to achieve better operational parameters.

The unit uses double sulphitation process, complete DCS automation system of ABB for process control, AC VFD drives for mills for energy saving, planetary drives for carriers and crystallizers, short retention clarifier of SRI, Australia, continuous vacuum pan with mechanical circulation for ‘B’ Massecuite of Triveni SRI make, IC graders with L&T make sugar weighing & baggage system are the major high efficiency equipments and systems installed in the unit.

IT System is being used for procurement as well as development of Cane. For improving productivity and propagation of selected variety of Cane, Company is providing suitable Cane seed and imparting training to the farmers in the area.
